Kenneth McKellar - The Songs Of Robert Burns: Twelve of Robert Burns' most beautiful songs sung by the master Kenneth McKellar. Arranged and orchestrated by Bob Sharples, the tracks include a lovely version of the stirring yet nostalgic 'My Heart's in the Highlands' set to an ancient Gaelic air; The gentle ' Bonnie Lass O Ballochmyle' 'Bonnie Wee Thing', 'Ae Fond Kiss' and of course, My Love is Like a Red Red Rose. The recording was made when Kenneth McKellar was at the peak of his fame. He had a special affinity for these songs and his majestic voice just soars. The CD was made from an original 1950s recording. There may be a few slight imperfections associated with the age of the original material, but we have tried to make the sound quality of the CD as clear and crisp as possible. We hope that you will agree with us that the quality of the music still shines through.
